It was a windy day in August of 2005 as Hurricane Katrina made her presence known in South Eastern Louisiana. As the winds died down, I had the sinking realization that my previous business, which faced obsolescence before the storm, was now hoplessly doomed. As my children watched me clean up my property, I tripped over something. My initial reaction was somewhat profane, but I quickly realized that tree stump I just busted my knee on represented a new direction for my life. Such was the birth of Hank's Stump Grinding, LLC and I have never looked back!
