Safety

I have been in this business for over twelve years now and safety has always been a top priority. I am proud to say that there has never been a claim against me or my company for property damage, injury, or any other reason.

I carefully survey the area before commencing work and I do call to have underground utilities marked when necessary. There has never been an incident in my professional history of damaging an underground utility!

My equipment has safety shields to protect from flying debris and when needed, I can erect plywood shields to contain any discharged wood chips. I have done this when working near child daycare facilities and especially when working near windows and glass doors. 

I do not have any employees, so when you call, you get me. You get my experience. You also get the owner who is liable for any consequences, not some employee with no skin in the game. It makes a big difference when the owner is performing the work.

I take great pride in quality and I fully believe that quality does not exist without safety.

Insurance

For your protection and mine, I carry $2,000,000 (two million dollars) in general liability insurance. This policy covers property, personal injury, and incidental damages.

I also carry workers compensation insurance on myself which would compensate me if I were to get hurt on the job.

I have never had to make a claim on either of the aforemenioned coverages!

These insurances are expensive; if I had to make a claim, they would go up even more. I am always concious about this fact, yet another incentive to myself to be ever vigilant about safety.
